ACTS Thrift Store Duarte: Your Neighborhood Shop on Huntington Drive

The Duarte location of ACTS Thrift Store is the newest addition to the family — and it's already become a go-to for shoppers and donors across the Azusa, Duarte, Monrovia, and Arcadia corridor.

If you've driven past 2215 E Huntington Drive and never stopped in, this is your reason to.

What You'll Find at ACTS Duarte

ACTS Duarte carries the same broad, ever-rotating inventory as our Pasadena and Pomona stores — but the mix is uniquely its own, because every item comes directly from donations made by people in your neighborhood.

Walk in on any given day and you might find:

  • Clothing for the whole family — Men's, women's, and children's sections organized by size and color. Brands show up regularly because the community donates well.

  • Furniture — Sofas, chairs, dining sets, dressers, shelving, and home accents. Inventory changes fast, so checking in regularly pays off.

  • Household goods — Kitchenware, small appliances, lamps, décor, linens.

  • Books, games, and toys

  • Electronics and e-waste

Because donations drive inventory, no two visits are the same. New items hit the floor daily. If you're looking for something specific — a dresser, a bookshelf, a winter coat — it's worth calling ahead at (626) 605-2914 to check before making the drive.

The Color-Tag Markdown System

ACTS runs a weekly rotating color-tag markdown system across all locations, including Duarte. Specific tag colors are marked down each week — often 50% to 75% off. One week it's yellow tags. The next it might be green.

The practical effect: items that don't sell quickly keep dropping in price. If you're patient and visit more than once, you can find genuinely excellent deals on furniture and clothing that were already priced below retail to begin with.

Check the current week's deals at actsthrift.org/events before your visit.

Donating at the Duarte Location

Drop-off is welcome during store hours at the Duarte location — staff will help unload and provide a tax receipt on the spot.

If you've got furniture or large items that won't fit in your vehicle, ACTS offers free donation pickup throughout Southern California. Drivers bring dollies, can handle disassembly, and can take a mixed load — furniture, clothing, electronics, and e-waste in a single trip. Schedule at actsthrift.org/donate-now.

When you donate to ACTS, your items go directly onto the floor of one of our stores. They're sold at affordable prices, and every dollar of net proceeds goes back into local community programs serving families, veterans, and individuals in need across the San Gabriel Valley.

Why ACTS Is Different From a Chain Thrift Store

Goodwill and the Salvation Army are national organizations. They do good work — but when you donate or shop there, your dollars get pooled into national overhead and distributed across a large system.

ACTS is different. We're a locally rooted, faith-based 501(c)3 nonprofit, and 100% of our net proceeds go directly to named partner organizations serving people in this community: Door of Hope, Inland Valley Hope Partners, Obria Medical Clinics, FrontSight Military Ministry, Pacific Lifeline, and others.

That means the $12 you spend on a lamp or the couch you donate for free pickup goes to work for your neighbors. Not a national fund — this community, specifically.
