If you wish to volunteer at the ACTS Thrift Store, please call (626) 577-4477

We need two (2) types of volunteers:

• Project volunteer:
  Examples include:

• picking up donations
• landscaping
• cleaning up and preparing the building
• painting
• electrical
• plumbing
• handing out flyers
• marketing, etc.

• Ongoing volunteer:
  Most ongoing volunteers will start when the store opens. Examples include”

• drivers
• gardeners
• back room workers (pricers, taggers, hangers)
• stockers
• straighteners
• merchandisers
• greeters
• cashiers, etc.

Volunteer and Personnel Job Descriptions

Here’s how you can become a volunteer. It is a four step process.

1. Raise your hand by calling (626) 577-4477.
2. We will call you and arrange a personal interview.
3. If we both agree that we’ve got a good volunteer job match for you we will ask you to take the general training we require for all employees and volunteers.
4. Following your general training, we will provide you with the position specific training.
