ACTS Store Merchandise
Thousands of merchandise items are sorted, priced, re-cycled or placed into storage each day by the production team in our “back room”. This results in 16,000 new items stocked on the retail floor every week. The amount of incoming donations changes daily, as do styles and seasons.
All of our merchandise passes several quality checks before it is priced and put on the retail sales floor.
We label all new merchandise with colored tags which enables us to identify how long our product stays on the sales floor. We want to make sure that our customers are continually being exposed to fresh, new items each and every day.
Five color tags are used at ACTS on a rotating basis. A different color tag is issued each week, with the color sequence repeating itself. All departments use the same color for the week. The tag color changes every Monday morning, which is then referred to as our “current color tag”. Items tagged four weeks prior are on sale at 50% off for the week.
Product SafetyWe produce an enormous selection of merchandise for you and make it a practice to examine items for safety purposes before offering it for sale. However, due to the enormous amount of donations we process, we encourage you, especially when shopping for children’s items, to visit the following product safety sites before making a purchase from any thrift store.
Thrift Store Check List
ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Please make sure you are happy with your purchases. It is advisable to test electronic or battery powered devices before purchasing and leaving the store. We do not guarantee any device or item.
Items without tags or altered tags will not be sold. These items will be returned to our production area where it will be re-priced, and returned to the sales floor the next day.
FORM OF PAYMENT
ACTS accepts cash, credit and debit cards only. Sorry, we cannot accept personal checks.
We provide two (2) dressing rooms. We ask that you limit the number of garments to 6 or less at a time. Unwanted items may be hung back on the rack provided outside the fitting room area. We appreciate your help!
ACTS employees can only hold your merchandise for a maximum of one hour. It is advisable to pick up furniture items upon purchase. ACTS will hold a furniture item for a maximum of 24 hours for the buyer to make arrangements for pick-up.
