Volunteers from the youth group of Lake Avenue Church (www.lakeave.org) in Pasadena pitched in July 1 to prepare for the grand opening of ACTS Thrift Store (www.actsthrift.org) slated for July 17. Among helpful tasks students performed were landscaping flower beds, cleaning the parking lot, preparing donation bags and flyers, canvassing a local neighborhood and tagging merchandise.
